What is a scaled score?

A scaled score is a conversion which is applied to the raw score to allow results to be compared from one year to the next.

• In KS1 Scaled scores range between 85 and 115
• In KS2 Scaled scores range between 80 and 120

In both KS1 and KS2 the expected achievement level for children is a scaled score of 100.
