How will schools prepare children for their SATs test?
Typically Primary Schools will begin to ramp up their preparation for SATs from January onwards. In class there will be a number of revision activities carried out and gradually children will be exposed to the test types they will face so that they can become familiar with them.
After Easter typically work will ramp up a little more and you could expect to see more homework coming home, you can expect your child to be talking about the SATs work they are doing. Schools at this point will be using mock papers to ensure children have real exam practice before doing the tests.
We have produced a brief guide detailing the top tips we have gathered from our teaching community which you can find our Help for teachers page.
